Gingerbread Houses!

The snow plows have finally come and plowed my road yesterday! The whole road! Very exciting! It was perfect timing. James is working with some different guys so he has to drive to work. The other guys he was working with picked him up every morning so I could have the jeep. He is really enjoying his job. He works with a good group of guys. They are very respectful and are good to us. I am planning on having them all over for Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas night. It depends on what days they have off.
We have started Advent with Turkey. We talk everyday about the meanings of Christmas and she gets a little present. We have hung the presents on our Christmas tree so she can pick one every afternoon. She gets really excited about it and I am enjoying it. She loves telling James everyday when he gets home about what she got for Advent and what we talked about.
Today the snow started again. We rushed out this morning to do our errands and get home before the snow and wind got bad. We made it home just in time. As I look out the window there is quite a bit of snow outside and the wind is blowing some pretty drifts. While we were at the store I decided to pick up some fun things to do. I bought a box of graham crackers and some fun candies. We came home and ate lunch then Turkey decided it was nap time. I get her all snuggled into bed and started to make gingerbread houses. The first one I made was with frosting as the glue. What a pain in the butt! I ended up getting my hot glue gun out and gluing them together! I made several so when Turkey wakes up she can decorate them. I made a big one that I decorated already, it was fun! I haven't made houses in a long time. I think it will be a fun afternoon project.
Yesterday was story day at the library. When we got there we found out it had been cancelled. We were pretty bummed. We looked around and got our books and ran into some of our friends. We decided after the kids got yelled at for being to loud that we should go somewhere to play. McDonalds has a play land. We loaded up in the cars and headed out. All the kids where super excited about going to play. We had lunch and spent around 1 1/2 hours playing. I sat and talked with my mom friends. It was a very much needed outing.
I think I have finally got the last of my Christmas cards mailed. I am happy to have them done early and already mailed! OK I must go get some things done with Turkey is asleep!
